Do I need to have a web site already to use SunShop? |

No. SunShop will run stand alone and will act as both web site and store. SunShop is not only a shopping cart system, but is also an entire website builder. |

Do I need to be a programmer to use SunShop? |

No. You can run SunShop without ever looking at the code. It is a plug and play application. After installation you will be able to maintain and edit your site via the administration area. |

Yes. If you feel comfortable doing so you may alter the source code to suit your needs. Please read the license agreement for more specific information regarding altering the code. Note that the source code is 98% open source. |

What do I need to run SunShop? |

You will need a web server or hosting account that is PHP and MySQL enabled. Check with your hosting company for more information. |

Is it difficult to install? |

SunShop does include a web based installer but you will need to have some technical understanding to complete the installation process. You will need to set up a database for the cart to use, FTP the files and be able to set permissions correctly to run the installer. If you are uncomfortable installing the cart on your server, we do offer a installation service. |

Is the license cost a one time fee? |

To answer this question simply, yes the license cost is a one time fee. There are other factors though that are dependent on the type of license you purchase at the time of buying your license.
1. Standard License: Standard license includes access to software updates for one year and ability to use the software for life. Support for this license includes 30 days of free toll free phone, email and ticket support. Additional support is available using support points. The license itself will never expire and you can continue to use it for as long as necessary. If you wish to continue to get upgrades after the initial year, you can choose to renew your license for half the original license cost.
2. Owned License: Owned license includes access to software updates for life and ability to use the software for life. Support for this license includes 90 days of free toll free phone, email and ticket support. Additional support is available using support points. |

Do I need a merchant account to process orders? |
| |
No. Only if you would like to process credit cards in real-time do you need a merchant account. You can always accept other methods such as PayPal, checks or money orders. |

If you have a business bank account, you can probably get a terminal from your bank in order to process cards manually. The shopping cart will collect the credit card information and you can process it using your terminal. |
